SMA N 1 Bukittinggi is one of the best senior high school in Bukittinggi city. it is located in landbouw bukittinggi, sumatera barat. the number of student here come from some other city like dharmasraya, payakumbuh,etc. its also have student from other island like from kalimantan. that is one of the fact that smansa landbouw have good qualities in education.
In 1957, SMA Negeri 1 Dublin was originally a part of the high school located in Birugo ABC, precisely at the location of SMA Negeri 2 Bukittinggi today. Since 1958 the school was moved to the location of the Shaykh M. No. Jambek Jamil. 36 (Landbouw) Bukittinggi, and the building is completely ready for use in
1959.

SMANSA has many achievements both academic and non-academic field as a silver medal at the OSN in biology in 2011, and won two races Unand fiesta 2011 held a western Sumatra.
